My teaching interests cover literary and critical theory, Marxism, Postcolonial studies, and the literature and cinema of civil wars.
In the School of English, I contribute on a number of different courses:
EN1003 - Culture and Conflict: An introduction to nineteenth- and twentieth-century literature
EN1901 - Reading English
EN2004 - Drama: Reading and Performance
EN4404 - Shakespeare and Film
Apart from this, I teach two of my own courses - Literary Theory and Civil Wars on Page and Screen
At postgraduate level, I teach on the Modern and Contemporary Literature and Culture, and Women, Writing and Gender MLitt courses.
Outside the School of English, I teach on the Cultural Memory and Literature module as part of the Comparative Literature course.
I also teach on the Sutton Trust Summer School, and have taught on Theories of Knowledge, a collaborative online course for doctoral students run by the Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities.
